Featured Website
|
|
|
www.taxsmartinc.com is a highly customized NetSuite website. All NetSuite hosted content pages use the new ‘include’ tag functionality to pull in left navigation and footer information. The pages use the built in NetSuite tag to pull in the top navigation area. This way any change to these areas is made only once. The home page uses ‘getAttribute’ tags to dynamically pull in item information for a customized featured items area. The built in NetSuite search functionality was moved to the top navigation area for a more custom look and easy to find search form. The actual store uses a customized NetSuite site template with certain store categories being hidden using the ‘audience’ feature. The site uses custom HTML support case and lead forms as well as a custom JavaScript ‘email this page to a friend’ form.

Quick and Easy Direct List Editing
You can edit fields on the following record types directly from the lists: Customer, Partner, Vendor, Case, Contact, Company, Event, Task, Item. Direct list editing can also be used to edit fields on search results containing these record types.
To edit fields directly on a list, click Enable Editing at the top of the list. You can then click a field and enter or select a new value. The change is saved automatically.

These lists now act like spreadsheets in the following ways:
- You can use the Tab key to move your cursor left and right on a row.
- Press enter to move your cursor down a row. Press Shift + Enter to move your cursor up a row.
- Changes are saved automatically, but you can press Ctrl + Z to undo your changes.
- You can select multiple cells in the same column by holding down Ctrl while selecting the cells. You can then change all of the values in those cells to a single value by enter the new value in the first cell you selected.
- Add a new record to the list by entering values in the fields at the bottom of the list and click Save.
Direct list editing is also available on your dashboard. In any Search or Task portlets, you can double-click a field to edit it right on the dashboard.
