Global Search Shortcuts

You can now search by record type using the Global Search field. To search within a set of records, enter the first few letters for that record type with a colon, followed by your keyword(s). For example, to search for customer with the last name Adams, enter cus:Adams.

Below is a condensed list of the global search prefixes. You can view the entire list by clicking the Help link on the top of any NetSuite screen and searching for 'global search'.

Mass Delete via List Editing

If you need to delete a large amount of records (e.g. customers, leads) manually there is now an easier way to do it.

1. Create a search that returns the records you wish to delete.
2. Turn list editing on by clicking the 'Enable Editing' button.
3. On the first record, click into a field that allows list editing.
4. Scroll to the last record and shift + click into the same field. A box will appear which encloses the field for all rows. (You can also CTRL + click to select nonadjacent rows.)
5. Use one of the buttons under the New column and select Delete Record from the pop-up menu.
6. All records that can be deleted will be deleted. If there are records that have child entities they will not be deleted.
