| ButterStamps is truly a unique business model. Shannon Fisher, president and founder of ButterStamps, has launched a subscription based gift delivery system that allows you to have weekly gifts sent to your parents, grand parents, or any of your loved ones. Each week includes a different surprise, there are no advertisements, and every gift comes personalized directly to your loved ones. Shannon wanted to create a website that would catch your attention, but allow for simple sign-up and customer self-service to view transaction and support history. A lot of custom code and design went into the site along side flash presentations as well.

The new design will be more graphical and consistent with existing NetSuite functionality. The navigation will be enhanced for quick retrieval of the relevant data; this includes a standard header bar, Quick Jump and Top 10 History.
Explore Mobile offers the Field Sales Rep as a hosted service to be delivered over the web.

NetSuite Payroll Must be Configured Prior to Jan 2006
NetSuite is enhancing the payroll module for easier use, setup and more accurate tax calculations. Beginning January 2006 NetSuite will be using the new functionality. If you are currently using payroll, you MUST complete some setup changes prior to January 2006.
You will need to:
- Map your existing payroll items to an improved set of codes.
-
Fill in newly required fields under Set Up Payroll
-
Review employee records for new information and settings
These changes may take as little as 30min to a few hours to complete depending on the number of employees and payroll items you are using.
We just wanted to make sure all our clients are informed of the new change and setup deadline. We will have consultants available for assistance if needed.

Using Custom Records to Store Business Specific Data
Creating custom records is a great way to store data that does not fit in the standard NetSuite data model (i.e. Lead/Prospect/Customer, Partner, etc.). For example, it is easy to create a custom record to store company assets and even associate the assets to employees. This way what hardware and software each employee is assigned can be tracked and reported on.
Below are high level instructions for creating a custom record and associating it to an employee.
- Navigate to Setup --> Customization --> Record Types --> New
- Name the record 'Asset Tracking' and save
- Create a new field called 'Employee' that sources the employee list and mark this field as 'parent' (this makes the association to the employee record)
- Create fields for the data you need to store
There will now be a sub-tab on the employee record for 'Asset Tracking' so multiple assets can be associated to an employee.
