Open Icon - Edit or View Records Easily NetSuite Open Icon

In NetSuite, some fields on transactions pages have an Open icon next to them. You can click the Open icon to view or edit records chosen in a field.

For example, when you are entering a sales order, you may want to enter a new phone number for the customer. On the sales order, after you select the customer, you can click the Open icon to open the customer record and enter the new phone number.

Changes you make to the record that appears after you click Open, are automatically saved on the original record.
