Version 2.0 is in development now. A complete re-design of the user interface and sales order entry is the focus of this release. The new design will be more graphical and consistent with existing NetSuite functionality. The navigation will be enhanced for quick retrieval of the relevant data; this includes a standard header bar, Quick Jump and Top 10 History.

    Computing in Currency Fields

NetSuite computes arithmetic operations for you in any currency field, such as Rate, Amount and any other custom field. You can add, subtract, multiply and divide without tediously opening your calculator when you want to make computations. Amount fields are found in most NetSuite transactions.

    To compute currency values:

    1. In any currency field, type '=' (equal sign).
    2. After the equal sign, enter any computations you want to make using your keypad and the computation symbols.
      For example, type =125.36+87.45
    3. Click another field on the page, press TAB, or press ENTER to compute.
    4. The value will appear in the currency field. In this example, 212.81 will appear.

    Inactivating Records

As your business grows, you may no longer need some of your existing list records for customers, vendors, employees or others. Inactivating list records is a quick and useful way to keep your business up to date. After you inactivate a record, it no longer appears in dropdown and popup lists. You can still see inactive records on the Lists tab, however, by checking the Show Inactives box at the bottom of the appropriate list and clicking Refresh (F5).
