Safeco- Teensurance

Safeco Insurance selected Explore Consulting to assist them with the development of customer, supplier and employee web portals with integrations to supporting back office business systems for their recently launched Teensurance service.

Teensurance, powered by Safeco, is a package of tools designed to give parents of teen drivers greater peace of mind while providing teens with a greater sense of freedom. It includes the Safety Beacon, a GPS based device installed under the dash that provides real time driver notification regarding speed and location, 24/7 roadside assistance, and online tools that help parents assess the skill of their teen and establish rules of the road for the family.

AIGB: NetPhone Call Center & NetSuite Integration

Background: The American Institute of Gastric Banding (AIGB) is an industry-leading network of physicians, healthcare professionals, surgical centers, support resources and aftercare specialists, dedicated to the comprehensive treatment and care of the LAP-BAND® surgery patient.

Issue: AIGB advertises in print, broadcast and online media. Responders call a toll-free number or send an email request from the company web site; both types of responses are managed by the call center. AIGB has deployed the Net Phone solution from Oaisys for their call center representatives to manage inbound caller information. The Net Phone application provides the call center rep the 800 number that the caller dialed in on, and the other relevant call information. The challenge was getting that information into NetSuite and linked to the appropriate marketing campaign. Without a link between inbound calls and the marketing campaigns that they came from AIGB is unable to measure which campaigns are the most effective.

Solution: Explore Consulting deployed a SuiteTalk (Web Services) solution that provides the call center representative a "pop-up" form that lists the caller's name, caller id, the 800 number they called into, and the extension the representative is using. The call center representative is then able to verify that information with the caller and submit the information to AIGB's NetSuite account. The SuiteTalk application will then run a regular batch process that completes several steps:
  1. An activity record is created on each Lead with the caller's information, the representative that they spoke to, and the campaign they called in from. These activity records are then used in standard NetSuite activity reports that allow the call center management team to see: how many calls per day, week, month; calls by rep and by campaign.


  2. The lead source on the lead record is also updated so that, that lead is linked to the marketing campaign that they responded to.
Results: By using a NetSuite SuiteTalk solution AIGB is able to track which marketing campaigns are creating the most activity and generating the most customers. This solution makes it possible for management to get the level of reporting necessary to make the best marketing decisions.

New Multi-Website Capabilities

As businesses worldwide upgrade to NetSuite Version 2007.0, many new website features have become available:

  • Multiple Website publishing all from one account
  • Web Site Assistant for step-by-step guidance as you build your site
  • Content Manager to provide easy access to your website pages and items
  • Shopping Cart customization for item information and layout control
  • "Email a Friend" link that allows shoppers to email the item page to a friend
  • "Call for Price" message to showcase items without displaying their price
One of the most significant and robust of these features now offered is multiple website publishing. Created from a single NetSuite account, each site can have its own unique domain and branding, along with separate Shopping Cart and My Account areas. In addition, each site will include its own individual Web Site Set Up, allowing for every website to have its own look and feel, including different layouts and templates.

Each website can sell different items, or share items across sites. NetSuite makes this process quick and simple by allowing items to be published to multiple sites.

All orders can be tracked based on the site they originated from.

Companies can also build and operate one single, global site where visitors can select the country or geographical region they belong to, each region having its own language, currency, products and/or services. For further convenience, once a customer shops from a particular region, they will always be directed back to that region.
